Hopefully ALL of the schools will move toward using this list! The National Reading Vocabulary is a list of 300 plus words that a first grader needs to be able to read successfully. The research shows that students who can fluently read the words on this list will be reading at least a 2.0 reading level and typically score in the top 10% on most standardized reading assessments. 

There is a roll and read for all 36 weeks of the year. The first 2 weeks focus on letter naming and sounds, then the rest are words they need to know!
